I think i posted in the righ section if not please move

I have an 2008 lmm with a 34 gallon tank and my fuel gauge is not accurate.....when the light comes on the needle is on E or just a hair above so i go and fill up to the rim the gallons put in is always around 26-28 gallons.....sooooo that's telling me there is around 4-6 gallons in the tank Is it possible to reprogram the fuel gauge to read exact fuel..so if you have 4-6 gallons left the fuel gauge will not read E......I figure if you have an 34 gallon tank each line on the gauge is 8.5 gallons or close enough

If the gauge or ECM can be re programmed what tables has to be adjusted so I can let my buddy know what too do

The reason I asked i am on of those guys who runs his truck on fumes and then fill up

Yes. There is a table at the bottom of the list that I think is labeled, "Fuel." I am not sure of the exact number off hand, but it will let you re-map the fuel gauge to anything you want.
