Buying a used V1.2

I found a person selling a used V1.2 with one license still available. Would I run into any problems licensing my 2004 GMC?

You are best to check the Supported Vehicles (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=147&Itemid=146) page and make sure your vehicle is 1) listed, and 2) is supported by FlashScan V1.

The other thing to be aware of is that if the previous owner has upgraded to a FlashScan V2 device then there are two things you need to know before purchasing the device)
1) You will not be able to upgrade to FlashScan V2. That is a one time only offer per FlashScan V1 which will already have been taken.
2) You will not be able to purchase additional PCM licenses. Once the FlashScan V1 is upgraded EFILIve no longer issues PCM codes to the FlashScan V1 device.

If you can get the serial number for the FlashScan V1 you can email me (support@efilive.com) and I'd be happy to check if it has been upgraded for you.
