I have hooked up my DBW throttle off a 2005 VZ Calais. I only seem to be able to get 25% throttle which is approx. 2500rpm while in Park. Can I calibrate the pedal with EFI Live? How would I go about it?

Cheers,

Hi All,
I think I worked it out! The PCM will not let the throttle to open more than 22% unless the trani is in gear and there is load on the power train.

Currently I do not have my tailshafts connected so there is no load.

Am I correct or do I still have a problem?

Hi,
Just thought I would update this thread with how this issue was fixed.

As it turns out the pinout I had for the pedal connector was incorrect. This was a pinout taken directly from a GM manual.

Thanks to Doublechip, he had already come across this before and had the correct pinout configuration. Once this was corrected the pedal worked as it should.

Thanks for updating.

Yes, the GM service manual has been known to contain typos... GM do issue errata pages occasionally.
