What Can I Do With The V2? [Archive]

The V2 seems to have a lot of functions that do not work with the 5.9. Besides clearing codes, what can I do with the V2?

You can BBF right now, but you'll be able to BBL and datalog in realtime.

Doesnt look like it, if the controller is available when you open up the BBX -> Scan page in V8 S&T, then it is available to BBL. The CMB or CMC ECMs are not listed yet, definitely a WIP.

The way the Cummins is scanned is totally different to GM, therefore I don't think Paul has built in to the firmware yet the ability to log without the PC. I suspect it will take a fair bit of messing around. Time frame wise, I think it might not be at position #1 to get done either.
I must confess my laptop never sees my car these days either because I can read, flash and log my ECM right from the V2, it is pretty nice.

The log feature would be really nice. I really don't like having to deal with my laptop in the truck. I don't have a good place to put it. My battery is old and only lasts about 30-45min. I can only use my wireless mouse which always seems to end up on the floor or between the seats.:throw:
