View Full Version : Has the timing bias been changed?

I thought I had read the 20* timing has been fixed. I am running 7.5.7 build 180. Tuning the cummins tomorrow, I dont want to actually be running 40* of timing if this is the case.

that's the current public release build but, I think for you to have the 20* fix, you'll need the newest software from the software thread here 7.5.7.( 191)

I'm running the newest build, and the timing calculator seems wonky to me. Granted it's the first time I've used it, but am not getting results anywhere close to what I think should be there compared to the manual excel file. I just posted 2 pictures with examples here:

I ran into a operating system that had it wacked out...what OS do u have?

I'm running Win7 64bit. Are you seeing wacky numbers too?

The timing change was made to the 5.9L calz files v7.10 and later, this applied to all operating systems. The Tune tool will tell you what version .calz files your computer has.

Ok, I downloaded the new factory flash that TexasCummins posted. I did not alter the Pulse width or rail pressure. With no changes at all to the factory tune, i opened up the timing calculator and applied the changes and it is showing 60* of timing. Either something isn't quite right, or I'm a total bone head.
