Hello guys, my name is kris, I am a member at PT.net (Same user name) and bought EFI live and came over here :)

Now my question is, i bought the DM-6 Multi Gauge and Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Module Combo and would like to log my wideband Via efilive
how do i go about doing this?
Would i have to get a Serial cable? Because the kit came with what looks like a gray wire to pin out to my PCM followed by these instructions

connect 0-5 output to third party datalogging system or aftermarket ECU. Tip:to interface with your third party application, use the gray wire supplied in your sm-afr connect kit. you will need to know the diagram pin out of your specific vehicle .

It also says not needed for stand alone setup but i'm not 100% sure what its for for.
any help would be appreciated thanks guys

Hi Kris, welcome to the forum.

Does your PLX user manual show a serial comms output...?

Have a look at the PLX section of this post: V2 serial wideband post #20 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?2990-Collecting-links-to-tutorial-material-scattered-in-other-sections&p=130986&viewfull=1#post130986)

If your PLX does not have a serial comms output, then connect the PLX analog 0-5V output to your V2 AD1+ input, and connect the PLX ground to AD1-, and use the PLX AFR and BEN calc pids.

No it doesn't show the serial comms outputs.

Ill give the AD1+ and AD1- a try.
would it be better to get a serial cable?

The serial cable only works if your PLX has serial comms ability...

some people modify their PLX for serial comms, but I don't know if all models can be modified like this.
