I had someone put a meter on his E40 TPS circuits (green and purple wires on the throttle connector). TPS1(green) is reportedly steady, but TPS2(purple) oscillates by up to 10% on the meter. This occurs both with the connector attached to the TB and disconnected.

I don't know anyone else with an E40. Has anyone logged the TPSV PIDs on an E40? Or can someone unplug the TB and put a meter on these pins of the connector to confirm that this is normal behavior for the E40? I am not seeing this on my E38.

Edit: Just checked my E37 as well and it also does not oscillate. Unplugged TPS2 is a steady 4.88V, TPS1 is 0V.

The E40 schematic shows both TPS circuits are supposed to be pulled low when disconnected, but we are seeing TPS2 bounce back and forth between 4.7 and 4.0V. The car in question is modified with the ECM relocated inside the car, so I don't know if this a wiring/ground issue, an ECM issue or normal.
