The following is a list of confirmed issues with the current release of the EFILive V7.1.7 software.
We are working on an update (V7.1.8) to fix them. The update is scheduled for beta testing on Friday 4th Feb.

Known issues in V7.1.7 public release

Problem:
When comparing two calibrations, the difference option is not available for parameter lists.
Temporary workaround:
None.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
Keyboard shortcuts for cut/copy/paste are not fully implemented in all the edit boxes in the Tuning Tool. Especially in the initial PCM info window.
Temporary workaround:
Right click on the text box and select cut/copy/paste options.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
Speedo calculator may incorrectly calculate VSS ratio.
Temporary workaround:
None.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
Incorrect battery voltage and other abnormal conditions may cause EFILive to crash with an access violation.
Temporary workaround:
None.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
DTCs for OS 12211256 are displayed incorrectly. Each DTC and MIL enabler is displayed 12 rows further down that it should be.
See here for discussion:
http://www.efilive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1230
Temporary workaround:
Don't alter DTC's for that OS using the V7.1.7 software.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
Most black box logging data files have frames missing when uploaded into the Scan Tool.
This problem only affects FlashScan cables with a firmware version of 1.2.17. To check your FlashScan firmware version use the Tuning Tool menu option: "Help->FlashScan PCM licensing..."
UPDATE: this problem has been found to occur in all firmware versions of FlashScan, not just 1.2.17
Temporary workaround:
Upload black box logged data using EFILive Scan Tool V7.1.6 installed on another PC. Then view those log files using V7.1.7.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Problem:
Somtimes, when FlashScan is reprogramming a VY Commodore (usually the Utes) the reflash process will not start to flash in high speed mode.
Temporary workaround:
Uncheck the "Use high speed mode" check box.
Status:
Fixed in V7.1.8

Yes. Ross figured out a software solution to the noisy bus issue. It is included in the next release.

We are working hard to make sure the software that is released with the next round of shipping is the latest and most stable release available.

We intend to include all the fixes mentioned above - unless some major problem is discovered during testing. However, we don't believe there will be any such problems.

Paul

Paul,

Take your time in testing, verifying, checking, validating, etc;
software development and maintence just takes time to do right;
that's the difference between a really good product and a just okay one.

Joe

Does this pertain to me?

I log for about 30 secs and go load on the computer it shows data is there but no time. Everything validates but no time on the data 00:00:00. Everything else shows there are pids and cable shows it has memory and also shows its recording.
