Need to full flash the road runner after a couple of mins

After 8mo without using the car, I fired it up today with my new LS7.
If I leave the car off for a couple of mins, the roadrunner looses its memory. Needing to full flash in order to wake up. The data is garbled or no data at all in there?

Bad battery?
