I read lots of discussion on timing tables, and how to tweak various elements to achieve proper timing. With all of this happening, is anyone also running a multi-spark CDI along with the tuning changes? Does multi-spark enhance the overall picture? Thanks!

No takers, eh?

I think the answer is the MSD has no effect on timing. it's just there to improve the burn at low RPM if the first spark fails.

Ira,
Thanks for the reply. Do you have an MSD box on any of your vehicles? Thanks.

I don't have one, but that's my recollection from the ads when MSD first appeared. I think I had an MSD on my 5.5 cylinder 170 CI Ford six once upon a time, but it ran so bad it was impossible to tell the difference, I just didn't have to change points any more. When it died, I replaced it with a different electronic box without MSD, again with no perceptible difference.
