View Full Version : V1, randomly cannot log AFR w/ AEM Uego

Hey all, having some issues connecting my AEM wideband to EFILive v1. It used to work perfect, then randomly stopped recognizing the wideband one day. I checked it out this afternoon and the wideband has power, all of the grounds are good, the white logging wire registers 4.3 volts, and my calc_pids text file is still adjusted for the AEM . The only other thing I can think of is an issue with the v1 box? I know v1 is old, but I bought this unit brand new late last year, so I assume it's under some kind of warranty? If anyone has any other recommendations I'd appreciate it!

Hi Tan,

I Pm'd Tech Support.

Temporarily try this:
swap to the other analog pin (the one on the other end of the orange 3-pin connector; the center pin is ground), and edit the calc_pids.txt file to use AD2 instead id AD1.

So, when it stops, what is the minimum you have to do to get it to start reading again.

Power cycle the AEM?
Power cycle the V1?
Disconnect and reconnect the software using the red and green button?
Unplug and plug in the V1 USB cable
Quit and re-start the scan tool?

When you stop getting AFR can you still get RPM?

Thanks! Looks like we are thinking alike, I switched the txt file to AD2 last night and going to connect it today.

EFILive will not recognize my AFR at all(shows my AEM pids, but they either say N/A or 0), wideband displays it fine. There is no reconnecting, it randomly stopped working for good one day. RPM pid works fine. Appreciate the help everyone.

If you have de-selected the External analog voltage pids, then the AEM pids will no longer work.

Tan,

Post a screenshot of the PIDs tab in the scantool.

Always glad when a problem is solved, especially when the fix is that easy.

Yep glad it was that simple, another question for y'all, have you ever seen the frames in "fast forward" mode while recording? My scanner kept doing this the other day, even after several restarts. It would not show data and kept speeding through the frames.
