pcm still shows 4wd+ trans related question

i updated os in a 411pcm and it still shows as 4wd and if i put it in 1st gear position it says 4wd1 in efi. Is there a way to get rid of the 4wd in pcm or is this normal?


Also i repinned the wires on my 4l80 big plug is there any info on what wires should have power when so i can tell if i spliced all the wires right or any other way?

Hello Cool28,

I take it the "0411" PCM is a used replacement. Did you manually change the VIN in the PCM to reflect your vehicle / correct platform ? The Scan Tool will use the VIN for some enhanced PIDs.

The VIN is resident within the PCM, and is not altered by flashing a calibration.

Just a possibility ...

yep changed the vin out to read mine but in info still says 4wd and showing 4wd when put in 1st is worrying me. this pcm was out of a truck but i did a full flash to a 02 with a 4l80e tune from holden crazy when it was there
