CVN# question...what is it ?????

ok so i had to get my ABS/Tipm reset due to my airbag, ABS, & parking brake lights being stuck on after a vin mis-match tune was loaded & i tried starting the truck before i realized the error.

After having the dealer reset the tipm/ABS module i read my ecm again & my OS & vin everything was good all numbers matched accept the CVN #. i looked at the tune i was running and everything was the same as previous.

So im just trying to get some clarification on what the CVN# is & does it have any affect on anything?

Im guessing that it has a purpose but it doesn`t have any affect if the numbers dont match to the stock read.

I just looked at my tunes and 2 of the 3 have a differant CVN # but they all have the 3 green check marks next to them, so since the tunes appear to be fine im guessing that all is well.
