View Full Version : Wierd codes popped up!?!?!

Ive got some wierd codes coming up. Not sure why but figured somebody here might know. Heres a synopsis of what ive got:

U1041 lost comm. with brake/trac controller-PCM-Device $29
U1016 lost class 2 comm. with engine controller-BCM-Device $10
U1016 lost class 2 comm. with engine controller-IPC-Device $10
U1041 lost comm. with brake/trac controller-IPC-Device $29

Any thoughts??

I would do a search at www.ls1tech.com (http://www.ls1tech.com) to see if anyone has had those codes. It looks like a communation problem. Have you checked all your fuses?

Have you just done a reflash? During the reflash comms are suspended with all modules. That can cause the PCM to flag some or all modules with comms errors. In that case just clear the codes, or leave them and they will clear themselves fairly quickly.

Unless it is a legitimate comms fault, in which case the codes will return.
