i know efilive does not support these for tuning, but can i still data log with V2?

its kindof a crapshoot as to if you'll be able to log or not, I've heard of guys who are able to, and others who weren't. you could give it a shot...best thing to do would be to convert your '97 to a newer PCM like the 12200411 which would let you log and tune it completely. that's what I did with my '96, best thing I've done to it.

thanks, it's a customers car and i already tried to talk him into the 0411 conversion, just not in his budget right now. was gonna use tuner cat to make changes and hopefully use efilive to data log

oh okay, I gotcha, I thought it was your own truck. yeah, if he doesn't want to switch then I'd give it a shot logging it. if you are able to connect, let us know. Like I said, some guys can, some can't so it's kinda hard to tell.

i'll keep every one posted on what happens, not to familiar with the tc software, would be much more comfortable with efilive data logging

oops, forgot i brought this up, no was not able to data log on this one, if memory serves the truck had a build date of 04/97 if that helps any one

As far as I know--EFILive will only do 98 and up GM trucks. You really should do the 0411 swap. It is cheap and easy.
