hi guys just wanting clarafication when writing a mafless tune to write out the maf would i adjust the parameters to out of spec i.e 0.0 or at low flow to 0.0 and hi flow to say 1000.0 or am i off the mark here cheers

You make the MAF fail by setting the MAF sanity test high frequency threshold to a low value (so that it always fails);

or, you could unplug the MAF (if you have a 3-wire connector);
or, you would unpin the MAF signal wire (if you have a 5-wire connector);

in all cases, you want one of the MAF DTC's to show up as confirmation that the MAF is failed
(if you don't see one of these DTC's then the PCM is using a calculated value for MAF).

See C2901 and C29043, set both of them to 1.

Also, in C6001 set the P0101, P0102, P0103 to A:1-Trip or C:Non-Emissions... you want one of these DTC's to trigger immediately .

I have 2 codes up On my 05vz maloo which were there due to what I assume is a faulty Maf they are Maf voltage out of range and fuel trim lean which has been putting up the svs on the dash so my plan was to do a mafless tune and remove it all together
