Nearly smoke free.
This was after the class we did here at the shop and letting folks look at the data logs and see how using it to make corrections REALLY works track side.

How was the open house?
It was awesome, we had a great time.
Our buddy, Walt from Louisianna was cooking it up all weekend.....We do the work on his truck while keeps us fed. He got new Dynatrac balljoints, rear brakes and removed his PacBrake and redid his exhaust.

I was completely exhausted in this picture. It was about 11 PM on Day 3.

Dam, looks like you guys had a way better weekend than us.
It poured almost all day Saturday at our dyno event.
What a lucky guy winning the Flash Scan.

Walt tries to tame the flame a bit when he cooks for the group, but the one sausage he had done was this Jalapeno / Cheese blend and, dear God, as soon as I took a bite I felt sorry for my toilet and was glad I ordered more Porta-John's this year.

Fantastic photos Rich, looks like it was a good time.
I was waiting to see you stick your 1931 vintage car on the Dyno LOL! Are you restoring it?
Cheers

Cindy, the '31 runs just fine.
It takes both hands and both feet to start it, but it runs great.
It's a 1931 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery.
You can't find parts for it, you pretty much have to make them.
The crank bearings for example are poured in place and then you have to cut them to fit.....OLD SCHOOL!
The plug wires are uninsulated and fired by magneto. Touch one of them while its running and that sucker will knock ya flat on your azz.

Coming from a family that collects 'old stuff' we know all about custom made parts. My dad's 'man cave' currently has a 1910 French car under restoration which belong to a friend of his. There are only 3 left in the world, everything that's done on that thing is hand made. Fortunately when our Caddy started in gear it hit reverse and only damaged the Caddy. the concrete wall, a lathe and tools - if it had gone forward we'd be rebuilding a 1910 French car from 1,000,000 shattered pieces. Ross is still shattered about the damage to the Caddy - darn faulty switch!
Cheers

Ross isn't permitted to touch any vehicle in MY control when it comes to custom tuning.....he won't be happy with me travelling this path, but....after 8 years I still hold a grudge (like all good wives) about that day I ran out of fuel because of some dodgy fuel tank calibration....and there there is the day 12 months ago when I was running late to get the kids from school and was told "Don't put the kids in your car, it's wet and your running a Buick Regal Turbo tune and the throttle is too touchy"....mmmm nice!
The arrangement we have now is he's only allowed old cars, so it's never a problem....although I am wondering what is going to happen with the E38 crate engine we have sitting around....
And as for the Caddy.....ouch! the 15" scratch goes back to bear metal. And the pearl paint job is probably 90% of the value of the car. The rear lights and panels seem pretty straight, the 1500lb lathe still works and only had to be pushed 3' back into place. The hole in the wall was covered, and tools were all saved. It could have been much MUCH worse. I was working on a sand blaster at the time and had stepped back and was almost dragged between the car and a concrete wall. Ross was laying under the dash, so he could have been dragged under. And my Dad had only stepped away from the lathe a couple of minutes earlier. And then there is the kids - lucky they were with Grandma at the time
Cheers

Don't feel bad.....I backed over a 55 gal drum garbage can at Montgomery last weekend taking the truck off the trailer.
SOOO glad nobody caught that on camera.
