Hi Bobby,

You see rich on decel as shown by your wideband...?

You have the correct IFR and small pulse adjust tables for the 60 lb/hr Mototrons, right...?

Can you post your current tune file and some logs (that were taken from the current tune).

What intake manifold and heads do yo uhave...?

For B9021 you will need cax file (for your OS) go to post #12 here: need-B9021-for-01250003 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?17699-need-B9021-for-01250003)

No worries.
There are three different addresses for B9021 that I have found so far. This makes it easy as it means I only had to write 3 cax files, & you just rename the correct one for your OS & away you go. The list is as follows.
Cax a
Stock OS
12202088
92111922
12208322
Custom OS
0125000x
0127000x
Cax b
Stock OS
12209203
12212156
12225074
Custom OS
0201000x
0202000x
0129000x
Cax c
Stock OS
12221588
12593358
Custom OS
0203000x
0204000x

In post #12 at the link shown above by Matt0matic, there is a zip attachment that contains 3 .cax files...

do this:
- from the zip extract out the file "cax b.cax" and copy it to your desktop,
- rename "cax b.cax" to 12212156.cax (to match your 2002 OS),
- copy 12212156.cax to the folder Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations,
- restart the tunetool,
- search for B9021 (type B9021 in the search box and click Search).

Bobby,

+1 what BLK said :)

if for some reason you cant extract the file from the zip, do this:

copy the attached cax file to your desktop and remove the .txt from the filename ( so its name is 12212156.cax )

then copy it to C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations

then restart the tunetool and search for B9021.

You need to reduce B4003 and B4004 as well...

April 12th, 2012, 06:55 AM
Thank you !! Thank you ! I have had an issue with this for a few yrs !! The results are great !!
I reduced the B4003 and B4004 with great results, looks like it just needs some final tuning.
One other question regarding my tune file, it goes into closed loop but won't come out no matter throttle postion or RPM, Can you check that tune and make a suggestion ?Thanks again I am really happy with the info and results !!

These are not being used, but you should fix these anyway:

Out of Range calibration summary: 01:27:17 pm, Thursday Apr 12, 2012

EFILive Custom Calibrations
{A0001} Forced Octane Scaler Percentage, was out of range when loaded.
{A0002} Octane Scaler Limiter, was out of range when loaded.

Set those to 99, save the file, exit tunetool; restart tunetool, set those to 100, save file.

Post the tune file that doesn't exit CL... (the tune in post #16 above never enters CL).

+1 what Joe said - the tune above is an open loop tune... was it intended to use semi-open loop? You need to read through the tutorial for installing a custom operating system (under help in the tuning tool). There is a lot of useful info in there - including setting the values Joe points out above.

it is the same tune except i lower the temp enabler to 130deg instead of 252deg joe, you want me to lower the scaler
to 99 instead of 100 that it is now at.

thanks

It's not actually at 100 now. 100 is maximum value, and EFIlive defults to displaying this when the vaule is out of range.
If you just type 100 over the top in there EFI live wont actually change it.

You need to set it lower, save, then re-open and set to 100.

...
joe, you want me to lower the scaler to 99 instead of 100 that it is now at.

thanksNo... the tunetool is indicating that it is out-of-range...

What darcy said (when OOR, the tunetool displays the closest in-range value).

to set it in-range you have to do this quirky 2 step procedure (you have to exit the tunetool and then restart it):

...

Set those to 99, save the file, exit tunetool; restart tunetool, set those to 100, save file.

thanks for everything!!

What make you say it was staying in closed loop? Post a log of it staying in closed loop...
