downloading updates

I cant download it it says softwar not found what am I doing wrong?

Are you downloading from here: downloads page (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133)

If you have FlashScan V1 you want V7 build 204.

If you have FlashScan V2 you want V7 build 204 and V8 build 195.

Ihave V2 and 203 build

I click save on update only then what?

Download build 204 (do this by doing rightclick->Save As on the link, and specify your desktop);

then on your desktop double click on that file and follow the installation prompts.


Then also do the same for V8 build 195.


Then, after this, do Check for Updates in each of V7 and V8 to automatically perform the software update.

oh. no they won't work for E38, you have to change the maps to use E38 pids.

Maps, charts, gauges are fairly easy to configure...

while in the scantool click Help->Help Contents and look at Maps and Dash/Charts and Dash/Gauges.

Another issuse................

I plugged V2 into laptop and it said new firmware for V8. did that now my V2 wont turn on and two yellow led flash back and fourth

If the 2 amber LEDs flash alternately, start the V8 EFILive Explorer, goto the Firmware tab, and flash in the firmware.

Then make sure both firmware and bootblock are at current revisions.
