Hello group.

First SinisterSS pointed out to me that the labels in the LTFT (gas pump icon) were incorrect. So I noticed that I hadn't downloaded 7.3.1.

I did last night and went through the install/upgrade procedure. Now, the gas pump LTFT icon is grayed out once I close and reopen a log. The option for saving the LTFT meta data in the properties window is turned on...but???

Any ideas?:help2:

To save the LTFT data in a log file requires that you open the LTFT window after you have finished recording the log and before you save the log file.

You can check what meta data is stored in a log file by opening the log file using Notepad. The first part of the log file is just plain text.

WARNING:
Don't try to modify or save the log file uwing notepad - you will destroy the data in it. Notepad does not format the log file correctly when saving it again.

If there is no meta data in the log file then those options will probably stayed greyed out.

This is some of the meta data as it appears in the *.efi file:

Paul -

Thanks for the input - but still no go. I'll look at it with notepad - but if I open the LTFT window prior to saving - still no data saved (scratches head, opens another beer).

Tried again. OK, seems to work if I open the LTFT window and hit save prior to closing the log. But it used to auto-save before...and I still have the strange labels.

Open your *.tun file in the Tuning Tool and look at the calibrations, Engine Calibration->Fuel->Trim: {B3809} and {B3810}. Those two calibrations define the boundary points for the RPM and MAP axis of the LTFT matrix.

If they are different in the calibration uploaded from your PCM, to what you see in the Scan Tool let me know.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what should be here - but this is what I found. And I'm reversing what I said before. If I quit the scan tool and relaunch it - the access to LTFT window goes bye-bye :(

There is a fault in a config file. We will get it fixed asap and release an updated config file.
