i have an lly on the engine dyno and at wide out throttle it will rev to 3400 with no issues but then drop down to idle for several seconds and then go back up-any help would be great!

well, i got the problem figured out. It would seem that the pipe we have the maf sensor in isn't the same diameter as the factory pipe. Does anybody know the size of the lly air intake at the maf?

Easiest way to tune around this is max out the MAF fuel limit tables to 120mm3. Then your fuel will not be limited by the MAF which is now in accurate. If you want to dial it in you'll need to compare data logs with the MAF pid up at various stages of throttle and rpm with the stock intake and compare to now and scale accordingly.

If you have a standard intake such as one meant for an LBZ, then you can just steal the MAF values from a stock LBZ MAF table (and adjusting the max from 583 down to 500 gm/sec). If you have a more custom setup such as a Bill's custom 5" intake, then you'd need to compare airflows at various RPMs and then scale your MAF values to match (as suggested above).
