Ok so I have the new latest v7.5 and v8 downloaded on my laptop. ( windows 7). I even made sure and checked for up dates, I'm good to go. Bootblock and firmware are good to go as well. Confirmed by staff and beta testers.
When I try to read the stock file I get the $11 code. I took the truck in to get a new flash, tried again and still get the code.... Any help guys... Had it for one week, so far just a paper weight!

Are you trying to BBL or read via pass-thru?

Not sure what your asking...

I'm using the laptop and the v2 inline if that's what you mean... I'm just trying to get my stock file to send out to a tuner.

How do I email the trace files? I simply can't copy and paste them in the email that I am trying to send so I'm stumped..

Thanks

That would be 'pass-thru' reading. BBR = Black (or Blue) Box Reading. BBx could mean F for flashing, R for read, L for logging, etc. Anyways, since you're not BBR'ing, that rules out my help. Sorry

Make sure you've updates the firmware and boot block on the V2.

Open up the V8 software and you'll see the little V2 icon down in the lower right of the task bar. Click on it, and when the pop-up appears, you'll see several options on the left side. Click the one that says firmware and more than likely it will show as needing to be updated. Then, just hit the update buttons and you'll be all set.

So what happened

I was emailed a new file to flash the truck with from EFI Support and everything went smooth.

Im guessing the Dodge flash was just an update or they didnt completely flash a fresh stock file.

Thanks for the help everyone.

As Tan said, we compiled a stock file for his truck, which in theory should have been the same as what he had flashed by the dealer.

The reality was that the file we sent worked without error. The only reasonable assumption is that the dealer didn't flash the truck.

Cheers
Cindy

See that a lot take truck in tell them you want it reflashed they hook up starscan it say has most resent flash so they dont flash in stead of do what you asked.

That would be pretty shifty if he paid them money. When the dealer done mine, he stuck a factory label on the intercooler/radiator cross member saying there had been a modification done to the truck and also indicating what it was. They could've done that since the latest update or OS for my truck was a different OS and I had the high idle enabled.
