Hey guys, I'm having an issue regarding the skim key. Long story short, I have a 2006 dodge 3500 quad cab with the 5.9 cummins 6 speed. The original ecu shorted out, I bought a used ecu from a 2006 3500 truck, installed it and reflashed it with a file from a 2006 cummins from the tune depository. The flash was done and the truck starts, but after 2-3 seconds its turns off and it threw these codes. I was wondering if there is something else I may have overlooked, any help would be great.
Thanks

if you got the ecu from a different truck i think you need to put your vin into and licnese the ecu to your truck.

my vin is on it already and I did license the ecu.

Also check {E6510} Vehicle Anti-Theft is set to 'Enabled'. I think the SKIM codes pop up when that is Disabled.

the e6510 table was disabled, i'll go ahead and enable it and see if that takes care of the issue. If not then ill have to take it to the dealer for a new ecu, since the dealer said they can't flash a used ecu, they can only flash a blank ecu.

You'll be fine, no need to take it to the dealer (especially when they are feeding you those stories).

Enabled the anti theft still have all the codes I did before except the P0513. I'm stumped:/

It runs now. Abs light and check engine light is on. It has a misfire and it is in limp mode I believe.

Ok, rewind a moment. The original ECM died, you got a used one that is throwing the following DTC.

P2146 "Bank 1 (Cylinders 1-3) Shorted High Or Low" EPA ($11) "Engine controller"

Might this have something to do with your original ECM needing to be replaced to being with? I would imagine it's running pretty bad on 3 cylinders.

It never had this code before, before the ECM the truck was running really good .

Remove valve cover, use ohm meter to check resistance of each injector coil, replace injector with high resistance should be ~1 ohm if good

Maybe your used ECM was no good to begin with.
