Questions regarding 2001/2002 F-body LTFTcell RPM boundaries:

Does anyone know if....

a. ...changing the LTFT cell RPM boundaries will allow the PCM to now use all 16 cells (rather than just the 4 or 6 it currently uses)...?

b. ...making this change will cause any problems (why did GM choose these very strange values...?)...?

c. ...same 2 questions for changing the MAP boundaries...?

d. ...any suggestions for possible values to use...?

This has been changed by many to increase part throttle LTFT resolution.
I believe we're WOT, in most cases, above 3600- 4000 RPM (55%-45% TPS respectively). Above 4000 RPM we're pretty much 100% on the MAF.

FWIW - My Stock 2001 Z06:

MAP Boundaries -37,57,77 kPa
RPM Boundaries - 900, 1400, 2200

I would add them if:
1. I knew how
2. I knew where to get them.

Anyone know how to add new emoticons to this phpBB and where to get them?

a. yes you can change them to get more cell resolution. My guess is GM picked those funky values I suppose to pay more attention to the maf and less attention to the map sensors

b. No mine are 1200 2400 4000, 40 ,60,80 this also made the lines drawn for my LTFT history coincide with even values on my ve table

c. I dont have a clear cut way to find this out but i iused my values for low idle 2400 for pt driving and 4k for WOT

Blacky I would be able to help if you needed it
