I cant get the roadrunner to work on my new hp laptop running 64bit windows 7. My old laptop was same setup and my roadrunner worked. When I tried to use my old links they were no longer on moates site. When I plug my roadrunner in it doesnt even recognize it.

This page has links: http://www.moates.net/roadrunner-ls1-realtime-emulation-pcm.html

You probably need to install the USB driver.

Got it working....Craig fixed it in a couple seconds remotely, just had to change a couple settings on my new laptop. Top notch service like usual.

I think you can use the 2.02.04 FTDI USB that comes with EFILive... but let me check first.

Here's a link to the latest FTDI driver (see Windows, 32 bit, 2.08.24): http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

It wasnt a driver issue, just had to change some settings on my laptop.

Would you care to share what those settings were as I can't get it to recognise the roadrunner USB either. (New laptop as well)

Cheers Scotty.

He changed the settings so fast I dont remember what they were. He did it remotely in a few seconds. I would contact Craig and he can defiantly get you going again.

It was the port settings in the road runner property settings. Virtual COM Port needs to be selected. I had the same issue years ago, but couldn't quite remember what the fix was. It's all good now.

Cheers scotty.

Yes, correct, the com port has to be set as a virtual port...
