I assume that there is something in the tune that I am not setting up properly but I cant seem to figure out what it is. I am Using COS3 04110003 and the base tune was from a 2004 gto. Am I missing something or is my setup just not capable of doing what i want it to do??

As the GTO was never offered with flex fuel from the factory it won't work. I think I am right in saying Flex Fuel was only offered on the 5.3L Tahoe.

Cable throttle or ETC? (you said cable).

I have cable and would really like to keep it that way because I have all Lokar cables and have made custom brackets for the throttle and cruise cables on the manifold and the factory 94 truck cruise box and its really nice and looks pretty trick... I am at the point where I need to make this part of it work because its messing with other areas of my tune not having that sensor functional.. I am already going to have to redo a bunch of my V/E table but thats ok thats the fun part.. :-)

Hello Ross,

Gen III trucks with Flex Fuel used the L59 5.3 L (VIN Z). Could have ordered an Avalanche / Sierra / Silverado / Suburban / Tahoe / Yukon with the Flex Fuel option.

FYI ....

Also I looked at this OS before I decided to use it and it does have all the spark and fuel tables for the E85 (along with a bunch of other stuff that I have no clue what most of it does) so I assumed (and hoped n prayed a bit) that everything would play nice together. I did a lot of searching and there really isn't a whole bunch of info saying that yes it will work or no it will not.... Just crossed my fingers and hoped it would all play nicely together... I did find one post where one person said if it has the tables it will work when tuned properly... I was hoping they were correct..... Shoulda known better, nothing on this whole project has gone even remotely easy. I have had to modify literally everything to my liking... Love a good project but this one has been testing my patience... Or lack therof as the case may be...

ok I was just digging around looking at stock tunes and I found one from an 03 suburban that looks like it is drive by wire but it has all the same tables and settings as my gto tune has and im curious as to if it could be made to work by going into the g1207 table and setting the "electronic throttle" setting to no its a 12579405 OS and it has a COS3 that I could use if that will work. It would be nice if that would work but somehow it seems that it would just plain be too easy if that worked... I am also under the understanding that a dbc has to stay dbc and a etc has to stay etc but if thats the case why is there the option to change it??? :help:

G1207 (Vehicle Platform Options) is information only - changing from "Yes" in the Electric Throttle cell to "No" will make no difference.

Does this project have A/C ? Do you need the PCM to be able control E-Fans based on both ECT and A/C pressure, or just ECT ?

^^^^ thats ecactly what I thought.... :frown: a guy can hope tho right?? it does have a/c but the fans do not need to be controlled by the pcm for the a/c. I do not have anything for the a/c going through the pcm on this particular unit, Its all still controlled by the factory controller.. I do have and I am using 2 fans controlled by the 2 pcm circuits for temp.. soooo long story short just ECT
