Friend with V2 having scan tool problems..

"Ok I'm a newb with efi live and most of the time I cant get the scan tool to start before its gives me an error report. I turn the key on to run and connect pressing the little green button and then crank up and press the yellow button to monitor data and this is when it gives me the error report.
Most of the time the error is $02 and sometimes $01. Can somebody please help me get this straightened out. "



What would make it give those two errors?

Where do you see those errors pop up, can you post a screenshot...


what V7 software build version...?

what V2 firmware version...?

suppose to be the latest updates off the site.

Ill see if he is registered up yet..

In the V7 scantool do Help->About and see what it says.
