Hello there
i have a strange problem with this car
car is 2004 C5 M6
408 engine 11.2 CR
238-242 651-612 114 cam
80 lph simens deka injectors
I followed the Auto VE tutorial and its not the first time i tune an SD car
the problem that the car is not idling well and i could not make it richer than the values in the attached log file what ever i add fuel in the VE table it still lean and idled ruff
could some body look in to my tune file

Something is up with your wideband... if you look at the log, where it is idling steady, the AFR dips on the wideband reading and the IBPW never changes - there is no fuel being added for it to dip like that... definitely not right....

SO its just a wide band issue ?
i will change the sensor
would you mind check my tune file if there is any idle things to be changed

The VE is a mess, but I'm assuming you paste and multiplied in the erratic data from the wideband? Go back to the original VE and work on it again after you get the wideband figured out. Also, a lot is going to depend on your injector tables and whether you have good data in there... I don't have data for those particular injectors to compare... It will want some more timing in the idle areas with that cam...

I used the injectors spread sheet to calculate IFR table values
do you think those values are correct for 80 lbh ?

Your injector flowrate looks better than it did before... minimum injector pulsewidth, default minimum injector pulsewidth, and injector pulsewidth voltage adjustment can all be found on the first document (although injector pulsewidth voltage adjustment will take some work to develop the table)...

I would try the attached injector tables - had to do some interpolation on that voltage table using what data they gave...

One thing I think is going to be a problem - I can't find a .cax file for this OS in order to get to B9021... that will probably effect the idle.
I saw a post from 2 years ago where you had the same problems with these same injectors...

Yes i had the same problem with those injectors when this engine was in my car
now its sold to the C5 owner but my idle was perfect nothing like what is happening in this car
i remember that i used a CAX but how could we make it work with this OS ?
is there any other compatible OS which will work with my car and the CAX file and how could i make sure ?

Post up on here in the appropriate area asking if anyone has a .cax for the C5 OS. I couldn't find one anywhere... without that, B9021 is not accessible and will be a problem. You might be able to change to another compatible OS (not the Z06) and get one that works - maybe the same year manual C5 - I would have to look at some tunes to see what OS they are and check the .cax that are available. Might be able to look around tonight. Will require totally hand working the tune...
Is the C5 forced induction? If not, why not get smaller injectors more appropriate for a naturally aspirated 408??

I don't believe there is a B9021 CAX for your 2004 Corvette tune (OS12592425). There is a B9021 CAX available for 2003 Corvette OS12593358.
I work with retrofits - primary from truck donors - haven't worked with an intact Corvette ever (couple of wrecks, one gutted by fire). But if memory severs the 2003 Corvettes were a carryover from the 2002 model year - and still used the 512 Kb PCM (Blue / Red connectors). Your 2004 Corvette will use a 1 Mb PCM (Blue / Green connectors).

its not FI at this point but has FI in future planes
so we went to those injectors i will use your suggested file as soon as i change the wide band sensor then i will post the results

If you had those injectors running well in your car, you should be able to use the exact same tables in this tune... but, the B9021 is still a problem...

Here is my last log after you suggested tune
i have the same rough idle car star then turned off like if some body switch it off
i noticed i have those error codes P0102 P0106 P0068
should i switch them to not reported ?
I'm very confused because the engine when was in my Lumina SS run perfect for two year with SD tune
I have not any issues i don't know whats wrong now
Also i noticed when the car was idling in my old car it was idle at about MAP 57 kpa now it seems to idle at abot 82 kpa

If you are running SD then the MAF DTC (P0102) triggers the PCM to failover to VE (i.e. enables SD), leave the MAF code alone.
The other codes may require the sanity tables to be modified, those DTC's trigger when the sanity checks fail.

Joe if you mean C3003 C3004 i add 10 to the lower area and subtract from the lower
disabled the Misfire check
add 150% to c6101
as you can see in my tune file

Wesam, have you checked it over good for vacuum leaks?
Idling at 82kpa is above the value in C3004 - that's where your P0106 is coming from... That is awful high kpa for idle - I really think you have a leak or maybe the sensor is not in the intake good...

I will check for vaccum leak i called the car owner he told me the shop opened a hole for the map sensor in the back side of the intake manifold then they remove it and put it in the top front side i will check how they close the rear hole if i could reach there
Isn't the C3004 the minimum value ? how could 82 kpa to be out of range for this table ?!

Oops - I meant C3003 - look at the idle cells - you are between the 80kpa value and the 64kpa value (the computer will interpoate a value when the rpm is between cells)...

still the same problem
some body told me because i have an injectors with flow rate more than 8 g/s so i should rescale all my g/s tables down and this will solve the problem
any body try this before will rescale solve p0106 , p0068 problem ?
