Are both the bootblock and firmware updated...?

After updating the firmware, did you program the BBx config...?

Really?

Previously there was a different screen when I logged data. It had a timer of how long it was recording.

On AutoCal immediately after starting a log, if it shows two lines:
Line 1: Controller Type
Line 2: PID Name
it means that PID is not supported.

Try deselecting the PID, reprogramming AutoCal with the new PID selection and retry logging.

Paul

What operating system is your E38 running? The pids ending in _M are supported specific to each operating system.
I'll check if it should be supported for you OS or not.

Are you sure the vehicle is connected to FlashScan and FlashScan is connected to the PC?

There is another way to get the OS.
Connect FlashScan to your vehicle, turn on the ignition.
Select the following menu on FlashScan's keypad:
F3 Diagnostics -> F1 Display Info -> F1 Display VIN/OS -> Select ECM.
The Operating System (OS) number should be displayed.
Let me know what that number is.

Have you read out the tune from your Camaro?
If so, load the tune file into V8 and get the operating system from there.

The AFRATIO_M PID is definitely supported for that operating system.

Can you please try logging again, and after you get the "ECM/AFRATIO_" displayed on AutoCal's display, press OK, then (without disconnecting from the vehicle) navigate to the end of AuotCal's main menu until you get to the option "Save Trace". Click Ok to save a trace file, wait until it shows the "Saved..." message, then disconnect from the vehicle and hook AutoCal up to your PC. Copy the saved trace file from AutoCal to the PC and send it to me at paul@efilive.com, thanks.

Paul
