Has anyone attempted to or successfully used an 06-07 5.9 oem ecm to run one of these engines on a stand?

I don't see why it won't work.

Flash a manual OS and disable all dtc that come up.

I was thinking the same thing until I looked at my first manual os yesterday and realized they have all the auto trans tables also. Not sure it even would matter. Should be as simple as hooking up appropriate power and ground, all necessary sensors, and can bus and a data link for tuning and it should run

It should not be a problem other than without a speed signal it may think that it is in idle mode and give you some MM3 limiting. We have fought with this in our pro-street truck, and have been able to tune around it so far.

Yes. Same standalone we have for the pull trucks.

interested in knowing if you can make an 03 ecm work as the same as an o6 ecm in a race only truck ?

Sure you can. It would be easier being there is already standalone harnesses out for 03-05

Im having the mm3 limiting issue on my 06 dragtruck that doesn't have a speed signal. Anybody have some insight on which way a guy should tune around it? Any help much appreciated Thanks!!

What value are you being limited to?

126mm3 is the most I could pull out of it. Anytime before the speed signal quit working I could peg it at 145mm3

Yeah 120-130mm3 limit is normal from my experience. I just rescaled accordingly
