Another Australian newbie trying to find his way with ALDL!

Using V4 i have managed to connect using COM3. It tells me the interface is connected. There is only one definition for Daewoos. When I press detect chatter, the program stops responding.( and basically locks up- Not responding)
So if don't press the get chatter icon and go for the Get engine data it starts the macro's and then locks up again. (Also get Com timeout)

I have a feeling that the Macro is not recognised by the ECM of the Matiz.

Some help or information would be greatly appreciated from the gurus.

In anticipation

Yours mike

Make sure Com3 really is the COM port that the ALDL connector is connected to. Sometimes the EFILive software will "see" a built in modem and it will appear to be the ALDL connector. If EFILive is trying to send/recv ALDL commands to/from a modem it will not work.

Find out whether your ALDL interface echoes back the commands sent to it. If so you'll need to check the Max232 Echo checkbox in the property settings.

If you are using a USB-Serial convertor cable, chances are it won't work. See this thread for more info... http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?19451-USB-to-Serial-adapter-issues
