$0548 Checksum failed

I'm going to go meet a guy tomorrow to tune his truck at a sled pull, but he just put a bunch of stuff on the truck and was going to dyno it today to get a starting point. I emailed the tune, and he can't get it to flash. He keeps getting this error. Script exited Code $0548 Checksum Error. I'm having him double check his software/firmware/bootblock are all up to date. Anyone have any other ideas in case that isn't the problem?

Might be leftover problems from a box tuner, did you start with a known good stock tune?

Correct me if I'm wrong here..but if I remember correctly, that's the error that is displayed by the FlashScan when I try to flash via FlashScan only (not with computer [pass thru]) after updating V7.5 and V8, but forgetting to update AND program the FlashScan for the correct controller.
