Let me start by saying I know that everyone on here will say dont do it, and I as well strongly advise not doing it. However, I had a customer call who is only interested in turning off the TCM limp. I know turning off the ECM limp is possible and have done it in the past, I have not tried to turn off any limps related to the trans before. I am just checking to see if anyone has done this before, I know I can tell the ECM to ignore the P0700 as well as max out its limp tables, but there are no such tables for the Ally controller.

Just wondering if this is indeed possible.

Thanks

Mitch

nope, the limp is caused by the mechanical limits of the Allison and not software.

build a trans or get used to the P0700, P0735 codes

You can build a TCM tune that virtually eliminates limp occurence. Unlock the TCC during typical limp parameters. You can probably serve your customer this way.
