Hi All,

My brother in law is looking at doing an LS1 transplant in to he's 60's Nova, but wanting to keep the retro look by using a carb style manifold and twin carby looking throttle bodies.
Anyone ever tuned these types of set ups and what is your opinion on them?

Hello Ross,

Did an LS7 with a GMPP carburetor intake, single TB mounted in down draft fashion via a custom adapter plate. Air cleaner made to look like one for a carburetor, MAF hidden in the air cleaner.

Looked retro ... runs great.

I've done plenty of them with the Vic jr efi manifold and a single 4barrel type TB - used COS3 in speed density. With an air cleaner on, it looks a lot like a carb setup - especially with the gray fuel rails because they blend in with the intake and you don't notice them. That is the way I would go. Idle and low speed transition might be tough with twin TB's, but would be workable if you set up a progressive linkage on them (so that only one opens when you first come off idle)...
