I see you can now receive a locked tune (by e-mail) from your tuner and install it with your V2 same as the Autocal.
So if this was done can you then remove the locked tune to return to stock or another tune you have been using freely?
I see this currently available for Duramax LBZ,LMM but not yet for LB7, LLY, I have an LLY What is preventing this and when is it likely to be available.
Thanks

The LLY ecm's have to be locked/unlocked manually.........last I heard they were testing another ecm for these features in BETA, but I have not heard anything new about when this may be released for the EFI-Live community.

Blacky would be the one to ask as to the progress/release of these features

Locked tunes are not locked ecm's so you can change tunes as you wish. You just cannot view them.

No but you can read them back out of a 2001-2004 LB7 and a 2004.5-2005 LLY once they are flashed in locked tune or not.

That is the problem, the ecm's do not lock automatically for a read disable like the LBZ and LMM's do when you apply the patch or flash a DSP5 into the ecm.

If you thought you were protecting your work from prying eyes by sending permission restricted files they can still be read out after being flashed.

I'm well aware how efi works Tony.

Glad you are.......so you do know that permission restricting any LB7 or LLY tune does not prevent the end user from reading it out, from your post it didn't seem that you knew that
