I have started a autoVE Tuning and would like to know is this the right filter I am using ,My goal is to get my AFR inline ,car is very rich!I have Data logged a few times, and it seems there is very little change each time,Thanks for looking.

Your TP filter parameter - TP not equal to 21% has me concerned - the filter will take out all other TP % cell hits.

I'd just go with the filter setting advised on Pg 13 of the AutoVE Tutorial (found under Help - tutorial - AutoVE in the scan tool program) in the first instance.

cheers

Jeff,

That filter is incorrect... (somehow your filter got crossed)

it should read like this:

Filter control: Include data frames

{SAE.TP} is changing less than 5% per 100ms AND
{GM.FTC.cell} is not equal to 21 AND
{SAE.ECT.F} is greater than 176°F AND
{SAE.RPM} is greater than 500 RPM AND
{SAE.TP} is greater than or equal to 1%

Jeff / Joe, I posted an example screenshot of an AutoVE map result and a basic filter setting in Jeff's other thread. Hope it helps.

Joe! In the Data Filter, I can not add {GM.FTC.cell} it say it is not valid .And when I go to the pid list,It will not let me add it to my pid list! That is the (Fuel trim cell number),and do I need to apply that to my filter???? If so how do I do it. Cheers

That means you did not log GM.FTC... so then you can leave FTC out of the filter.

Hi Joe! My B3618 in open loop I set them at 1.00 and B3605 I set them the same as the AutoVE Tutorial,My question is on the {Things to check}Did you want me to set thoses two table to AFR not EQR units. Thanks jeff

Regardless of the AutoVE tutorial, set B3618 to your target PE/WOT EQR (1.16 for NA), and set the last 2 columns in B3605 to the same value

( this does not cause any problems in AutoVE because you will see those values in the pid GM.EQIVRATIO )

( last few columns in B3605 in the tutorial is too lean for my liking; problem with B3618 set to 1.00 is that people forget to set it back to rich )

( note: if your BARO is less than 100 kPa, then set all the columns in B3605 from (BARO - 5) kPa to 100 kPa to the same value as B3618 )

I would prefer to use EQR units everywhere.

Hi Jeff, that doesn't look right, it will drastically alter your VE table.

I think there's somethign very wrong with your WB values Jeff.

You're reporting AFRs of less than 1 in some places.

I concur, something went bad with the wideband (your engine cannot be running that rich)... that's what is causing your map to be wrong.

Comments:

B0101 VE table is incorrect.

B3618, B3605 are adjusted in the wrong direction (lambda units confused with EQR units), set the fuel units to EQR and redo both tables.

B4105 has one incorrect cell.

B5913, B5914 have a little too much advance, copy these from a stock Corvette file.

Jeff, you might find it easier to get both VE and MAF corrected by trying the Calc.VET tutorial, it is simpler than AutoVE.

But first you have to figure what is wrong with your LC-1...

check all your wiring, and then do both the heater calibration and the free air calibration on it.

Hey Joe! Do you think my trouble might be with my setting up the fast W/B. When I tune it on, it ask me for Options!

1) Type of Fuel ! I check Gasoline.
2) Do you enable the analog output. I check YES.
And here were I might be going wrong!
3) Simple Mode;
It will ask, calcuate the A/F ratio by multiplying the volts by 10. Ive been clicking NO!and going with the Highres Mode:
0-4.096 volts A/F calc.
gas (V*2.78)+9.6

That looks much better... paste-multiply it into the VE table and take a new log.
