Could somone help with the correct prosedure to get around a locked ecu? The owner has no history of where it has been tuned previouly.

wow i have same question I have tunes of the same year ecm can i do a complete reflash with a known calibration over a locked one its a e67

You have to know the key to unlock the tune, otherwise without the key you cannot read from the PCM

(you will have to flash in a stock calibration using a TechII).

So i can't reflash ecu with a efi live custom os ,I'm not interested in reading previous tune I'll start again.

If it is truly locked (can't read or flash the PCM) then EFILive, TechII or whatever else won't be able to fix the problem for you. The PCM will need to be unlocked before you can flash in something else.

When its locked you won't be able to read or write it.
