help detecting my flashscan fsp v1.2 cable

I updated to the new software.
Under device manager i see the usb connection.
I updated drivers.
but I still cant get efilive to recognize my cable what gives?
windows xp 7.5.211ver.
also installed in 4 other pcs 3 with xp 1 with windows 7 same results.

Start->All Programs->EFILive->V8->USB Manager

uninstall the later version driver and install older version driver.

If you do this will it affect the use of the V2? I leave my old V1 in the car fix mounted and use my V2 for the other vehicles I own.
