How to disable 'Service Vehicle Soon' light when SD

I always get the SVS light on the dash i'm assuming because of the MAF codes logged when in SD.
Is there a way of getting rid of this. HP Tuners seems to have an extra option against the DTC codes to disable the SES light, but no such thing with EFILive....

EFILive has far greater options for DTC and SES control than HPT. Post the DTCs you are getting and your tune - will fix it for you.

DTC's are P0102 and P0103.
The code is needed to force the ECM into SD mode. But is there a way to stop it also causing the warning?

Took a quick look at your tune ...

Yes ... the DTC routines must be active to fail the MAF, which causes the ECM to default to SD mode. You have these (P0101, P0102, P0103) set to "C: Non Emissions" - would recommend you set these to "A: 1 Trip, Emissions Related" - to fail the MAF immediately upon start up.

You have P0101, P0102, and P0103 all set to "No MIL" - so these DTCs are not what is turning on your SES / Check Engine lamp. Is it the lamp that is coming on, or are you getting some sort of message in the IPC Message Centre ?

Are there any other DTC codes being set ?

It's not the check engine light, but the 'service vehicle soon' light. Which i'm led to believe is shown if a none critical code is thrown.
Those are the only DTC codes that are being set.

OK ... now I understand ... your IPC (instrument panel cluster) has both a MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) and a SES (service engine soon) lamp. The MIL is under the direct control of the PCM / ECM - which tuning software (EFILive or HPT) allows access.

I don't have access to Holden schematics - but from memory the SES lamp is triggered by the IPC itself - which monitors several sub-systems. There are more than a few Holdens out there running in SD mode - perhaps a Forum member with a Holden IPC work around will provide some insight.

I do mainly customs / Hot Rods - never had to deal with a SES IPC lamp issue.

An engine DTC should not cause the SVS indicator to illuminate...

you might set the scantool to read DTC's from all modules, and then see what DTC's are read...

you may find that the SVS indicator may be due to DTC's from modules other than the PCM (I said may).
