View Full Version : '08 LLT controlled by new ECM?

Has anyone explored this option?

I have low mileage '08 SIDI 3.6L LLT from a CTS that I would love to be able to tune and put in as a stand-alone application. It has the Bosch ECM now. Would it be possible to wire the existing harness into one of the new ECM computers to allow control and tuning of this engine with EFILive?

If not, any ideas on making it a stand alone. I do have the body module if that helps.

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Dave, we don't have any plans to support this ECM, however, I think Trifecta are the only ones out there able to program that ECM for a stand alone application, you might want to check with them.

Thanks for the reply GMPX. I may go that route with Trifecta as it would probably be easiest.

I was just curious if it would be possible to merge the '08 harness into one of the new EFILive supported SIDI computers and tune from there.

Something like an E39 ECM re-pinned to the LLT and start with the closest base program, go from there.

I don't know if the engine hardware is the same between the two, the high pressure pump, injectors etc might be different.
