Hi I'm a V1 user, and I'm having problems to connect into a PCM
I just upgrade the software. And I can not connect to any pcm to scan or tune. I only can read my car.
In the past I did not have this problem, I have 9 pcm licenced to my cable.
Two days ago I purchase a licence and start to tune a LS1B Pcm, Now I don even can scan the car. But if I read my car, ther is no problem.
What can I do?

You cannot have both the Scan tool and Tune tool connected to the PCM at the same time (ie, you need to disconnect from the PCM in the Scan tool in order for the Tune tool to work). Try closing the Scan tool and flashing again.

The problem is that the cable is only working in my car's pcm I can tune and scan.

But in other pcm it can't be connected. Drops this error. And they are already licenced to my cable.

The other car has a ALDL connector wiring problem...?

No no problem at all.

I notice this few day ago when I couldn´t read 2 1998 Ls1 PCM, I think that was for the software update
Cuz Last Sunday I purchase a licence, download the file of an 2000 LS1, made some changes and upload the file and monitor with the scan. But this monday I could not connect any more.

But as I tell before with my car I have not any problem, is also a 2000 Ls1 camaro.

Could it be due to a configuration?

Please try using the V8 software to read/flash your PCM.

Sorry my mistake, I didn't realize you had a V1 interface.
So in that case, please supply the appropriate *.blx trace files as described in this web page:

Is there a wey that the cable can be locked to use in only one pcm?

Blacky

The trace shows that the PCM is not responding to any commands sent to it by the FlashScan V1 device.

That can because by:
1. a blown cigarette lighter fuse (does FlashScan power up when connected to the OBDII connector?)
2. faulty PCM or OBDII connector (can the scan tool software log data from the PCM?)

Paul

Not I can not log any data either. but it is kind a rare 3 different cars.
Rigth now I'm changin the pcm to my car and will test it.
Let you kow what happen

Are you saying that the V1 device will not connect to 3 different cars? If so, then that kind of indicates a problem with the V1.
Does the V1 work on any vehicles anymore?
Does the V1 power up when connected to a vehicle?

Paul

It works on my camaro, and the pcm of that other car also works, so there is a problem with the obdII port or wiring.
I will check for the other 2 98 camaros

Thanks for the help

Update your software, V7.3.3 is REALLY REALLY OLD.

Sounds like a blown OBDII/Cig lighter fuse.

The current versions is 7.5.6.211.

Problem solve, it was a problem with the aftermarket car alarm. So I´m sure that the V1 cable works ok

Thanks for your time
