O2 Sensors

Done a search but couldnt see an answer, I'm finishing off the wiring on a swap (04 Gen3 5.7 LS1 into a mazda MX5) someone else has started they have removed the front sensor & installed the rear sensors only (car will be tuned Speed density with no MAF) will this be ok (it has no cats) as what we normally do is remove the rears & set the not to MIL

You sure they didn't intend to re-pin them to the fronts - just to have the length of the wires? I've heard of people doing that... You need the fronts if you intend to run closed loop.
