No, you can't do this.

I believe I spoke to you on the phone earlier. What ECM is in it, doubt ford is using a dodge ecm? EFI currently supports 06-07 CM849 Cummins Diesel ECM (5.9) and 07-09 CM2100A Cummins Diesel ECM (6.7)
I did find a place that tunes them but they didnt list what they use. They looked like a 18 wheeler shop.

Some of the details available online don't directly state that the engine/ECM is the same, but it doesn't say that they are different either.

Perhaps this falls into the same black hole that consumes all the Duramax engines used in a vast array of motor homes????

In any case, lets find out one way or the other for sure. Can you please PM/email me the VIN from your truck, and if that doesn't work out through us checking, can you please take a photo of your ECM and email it to me.

email is cindy at efilive dot com.

I would like to know this as well as I have a couple 6.7 powered F650s that would like a tune. They say CM2100 on the ECM, but the plug is a tad different than the ones used in the Dodge application. I will try and get a couple pictures.

If they're 2100 ECMs, try to read them out. Should be a pretty easy test, if they read then it would be a matter of mapping the OSs if they're different. If not, then who knows.

Thanks for posting the pictures. It's not the same ECM as used in the trucks, but I'll make a few enquiries and see how we go.

Cummins Industrial ECM's are different than the Automotive ones.

Thanks Les, that is no surprise to read that, similar to the Bosch ECM used on the LBZ/LMM, looks just the same as the type used on Mercedes, VW, BMW etc, but the actual code is not the same between the different manufacturers.

Just revisiting this thread, the end result is that we can not tune the Ford equipped Cummins' ?

I would have to say no it can't be done with EFILive.
