I recently sent my info to Justin (datalog, ecm file, transmission file) to get a custom tune done. The ECM file keeps downloading corrupt. It dowloads fine to the autocal from the truck but i emailed the file 2 different times to Justin and he says its corrupt. I unplugged my radio so my aftermarket stereo wouldnt interefere and it still happened. Anyone else have this problem? The transmission file was fine so im not sure why the ecm file is not downloading clean. Any help is appreciated.

It says in the scan and tune software "Checksum Invalid"

What is corrupted, the file you read from ECM to AutoCal...?

Which program (V7 tunetool or V8 S&T) says the file is corrupt (and which version)...?

What bootblock/firmware versions are in your AutoCal...?

After updating to firmware 2.07.35 did you do BBx Program All...?

What year/model/vehicle...?

Huh, I didnt even know GM made the 8.1L + Alli combo that long. Thought after 02/03 they didnt exist! Learn something new every day I guess.

No in 2006 was the last time they made the 8.1L. Also the first year they did the 6 speed allison. Its a cool truck!

Yep have one with a Wimple Blower on it sitting here at DuraBurb on the floor we swapped out for a LMM Duramax reverse converted to LBZ Communication and ECU/TCM

Nice Combo

Thats one of the rare breeds then, only year with an 8.1L + 6spd Alli!

When you get your stock ECM tune pulled, would you mind posting it and your TCM tune up? Stock of course.

And DuraBurb, you've been my inspiration to build a Dura'Lade. I would love to get an Escalade and swap an LBZ + Alli into it, would make for a unique tow rig!

Will do. Tried 2 more times last night to pull the tune from the ecm and still not working. Hopefully Justin and EFI live can figure this out for me!

Yea We would love to build one but we only see Tahoes and Yukons go through here, if someone ponies up we will put it on You Tube for sure though.

There is a member on duramax forum that has done the "dura'lade" conversion. I guess the wiring was the trickiest part. Go over there and do a search and you may be able to find the thread on his build. I know he used an entire 3/4 ton donor truck (frame and all) to do the conversion.

Yep, its a pipe dream because I dont have the $$ to buy a used Escalade with a blown motor/trans and a fullsize 2500HD Duramax. Not in the cards for a while, a LONG while.

But still, rolling up in an Escalade with a 10k trailer would be pretty sweet.
