View Full Version : AEM wideband 02 support?

I need to know if the AEM wideband 02's are supported in EFI Live. I can't find a premade BEN map or AFR map for it? There is one for Autotronic but I don't think it is the same company. Thanks.

Hi Bret,

Do you have FlashScan V1 or V2...?

If you have V1, then use the PLX pids CALC.AFR_PLX1 and CALC.BEN_PLX1 (PLX has same voltage:AFR curve as the AEM).

If you have V2, then you use serial comms, use the pids EXT.WO2LAM1, EXT.WO2EQR1, EXT.WO2AFR1 (pre-select these in the BBx config).

Hi, he might be referring to inside of the scan software. I can't remember if there were any included with the efilive software recently, but I had to make my own maps for the AEM Serial wideband/AutoVE/Select BEN tables since I am using a 2.5BAR MAP sensor.

You can use the Calc.VET calc_pids.txt file, it has a pid WO2BEN defined as "{GM.EQIVRATIO}*{EXT.WO2LAM1}".

If you're using V1, that calc pid can be modified to "{GM.EQIVRATIO}*{CALC.AFR_PLX1}/14.7".

I use V1 and have a AEM, I used the PLX as stated by Joe and it has worked perfect :)

Thanks guys. I didn't see the responses till now. I am not getting email notification for some reason. Anyway, I have V2 and will hook it up as stated above. I was looking at logging and building a map that I could do the calc vet stuff off of once I do a little more research on it. What is BBx again? I will also be using a 2.5bar MAP sensor on my TBSS eventually.

BBx is V2 Black Box mode (BBL = BB logging, BBR = BB reading (of flash), BBF= BB flashing)

i.e. leaving laptop/PC at home.

Cool, thanks. I am too used to the V1 where you always had to have the Laptop. So I can just log with the cable and BBx and then review it on the lap top later? I need to do a bunch more reading. I tend to use things for what I need them for and not research all that they can actually do for me.
