Blocker Plate?

So here is what I got..I have the DSP5 switch installed and all the tunes that were programmed for the truck were equiped as if the EGR was blocked....but havent gotten around to it yet...will it hurt anything if I dont have the blocker plate in yet?

no,

egr will just not open, it may leak though but the plate will fix that.
