Not sure if this is the best place for it, so please move if needed.

Shot in the dark Question for you, the Transmission Expert.

This Transmission is actually going into my Tube chassis rock crawler.
I understand how the shift solenoids work in this transmission. That being said, could a person wires switches that power the two solenoids in the correct order that applies to the appropriate gear, thus giving you the option for push button shifting.
I'm aware that a "tow haul" type of shift pattern would be needed to tell the PCM not to shift on its own.

Tell me why it wouldn't work. Or better yet, suggestions to help make it happen.

Thanks for the help guys,
Branden

There was a guy on s10forum that converted his 4l60E to use a Hyundai shifter. Think it was Dogs_Of_June, but I will have to do some searching.

I'm also wondering this. I want to take the shifter (and possibly steering wheel) from a car like my 2010 malibu with tap shifters and get a custom OS to support it.
