6.7 EGR actuator delete/removal

Anyone have any tips to totally remove egr actuator with out setting P0489 and going into limp mode

all egr codes shut off check engine light does not come on but ETC light comes on and noticable loss of power. no trouble code with scanner but toggling ignition switch 3 times shows P0489 on Odometer disply

that sounds like the throttle control is giving you problems, can you clear this code? I doubt the 489 code is causing the etc light
