Is it possible to convert a ctf (custom tuning file) to a BIN?

CTF isnt an EFILive format... .ctd (old) and .ctz (current) are. Along with the legacy .tun.
But you cannot convert any of these proprietary formats to a *.BIN. You must read the PCM/ECM/TCM as a *.bin which EFILive does not let you do. I believe you can view *.bin files in the Tune tool however. TunerCats I believe can save files as a *.bin.

Sorry my mistake I meant V8 Compressed tuning file (.ctz).
If you can view .bin files in the tune tool could you then save these .bin files on the computer?
Also is there instructions/process of how to view files in .bin format using the tune tool?
Thank you for your help
I will look into TunerCats as well.

No problem, but no. If you open a .bin, I believe you can only save it as a .tun or .ctz. Basically EFILive lets you read a .bin then makes you save it as a .tun/.ctd. Its not really a publicized feature, I dont even know if it will be supported when V8 comes out. Thats all I know, Ive only dealt with .tun and .ctd/.ctz files.

V8 will load up bin files too, but you will notice on some controllers that a lot of data is missing when just a bin is loaded. This is because some of the data displayed is captured in the metadata of the .ctz file and is in turn lost (or non existent) in just a bin.
There is no user option to save any of the files you load as a bin.
