As a few on here would know, most of my spare time has been spent pulling spanners & tuning a friends funny car. This has not left much time for anything else except the odd visit to this site.
Finally, in our second trip to Adelaide International Raceway (1000 mile trip each way) we managed to take away the win in the supercharged Outlaw bracket. Running a PB of a 5.48 second pass at just under 193mph (1000 ft as AIR has a short braking area).
Obviously, tuning a blown mechanical injection car is a lot different than modern EFI. But using a "by the numbers" method as I learnt from here to build a "tuning tool" we managed to get the car dialled in quickly.
Anyway, this post is a thanks to all the guys that have helped me either directly, or answering other threads where I have managed to gain a bit more knowledge.
Cheers Guys.

Thanks guys, I will link in some video footage once Dan has posted them up.
Simon, we are hoping to travel further next year, doing as many championship rounds as our budget will allow. If we end up in your area I will certainly get in touch so we can catch up.
Cheers Mick

Did any one else hear about the earthquake up North last night? I guess Mick must have fired up the drag car.....

Lol. While in its soft tune it doesnt shake the ground, if my laptop is within 10 metres while running it craps out & shuts down. ( I found this out trying to real time log fuel pressure through efilive using a spare pcm & modified bench harness to set the idle poppet pressure)

First qualifying run here,http://www.facebook.com/TerritoryTremor#!/photo.php?v=10151140639291945&set=vb.223202514395234&type=2&theater
We were thrown a curveball 2 days before heading south when a test fire showed the fuel pump on the way out. We were lucky that we had another new pump on the bench, but the flow rate was an unknown. A couple of logged test fires gave me a fair idea on what we had and I managed to hack out a safe starting point for the tune up. The results of that safe tune was this run.
Tonight we will be having a debrief of sorts & I will see about getting the rest of the runs posted onto the site.
